Fishing & Hunting in the Intermountain Area...
The Intermountain Area is world renown for its numerous blue ribbon fishing streams and
rivers. Fall River, Pit River and Hat Creek are all clear, spring fed waters with
consistent cold water temperatures. These conditions help provide some of the best fishing
in the west. The Forest Service offers six campgrounds that are located adjacent to Hat
Creek.
Lake Britton, Eastman Lake, Fall River, Baum Lake, Crystal Lake and Iron Canyon
Reservoir are a lure to all types of fishermen. Within a short drive to the northeast,
fishermen will find other "hot spots" on Bear Creek, Medicine Lake and McCloud
River.
